How it works

From an empty group chat to a full season.

Step 1 of 9

Someone invited you

Joining

See the league, its rules, and who is already playing before you decide.

The rest of this page is what the person who set the league up did. You never have to do any of it to play.

Step 2 of 9

Create a league

Commissioner

Pick a competition and a mode, and the league exists. Most owners are done in about a minute, and every setting can change later.

Step 3 of 9

Invite your group

Commissioner

One link invites everyone. Copy it from the league's Members page and paste it into the group chat: each person who opens it claims their own seat, and you can revoke it at any time.

Nothing to bet, just pride on the line.

Step 4 of 9

Pick how you play

Commissioner

Every league runs one sport and a default ruleset to start. From there, how far you push it is up to your group.

Play style and mode are separate settings. Pick any mode with any play style; modes are covered in step 5.

Standard

Default scoring on one competition: the game your group already knows.

Remix

Custom scoring turned on: set your own point value for any stat your sport tracks.

Total mayhem

The fully custom engine we're building: your group invents settings no fantasy platform has a menu for. Coming soon.

Already convinced? You can start your league now.

Step 5 of 9

Write your own rules

Commissioner

Turn on custom scoring and every stat your sport tracks becomes a card: pick the stat, set the point value. Make own goals cost double, or a save worth more than a tackle. League Studio is where you edit it; every manager can see the finished ruleset from the league's House rules page.

Step 6 of 9

Build a squad, score with every real match

Everyone

Your squad holds 15 players (2 keepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, 3 forwards) under a shared budget. Every point comes from what a player actually did in a real match: goals, assists, clean sheets, cards, saves.

Gameweek Most leagues start here.

Lock a fresh XI every round and name a captain for double points. Your total is the sum of all your locked rounds.

(XI is just the soccer word for the eleven who start.)

Best Ball

Season-long salary-cap fantasy with zero lineup management. Build a 15-player squad under a 100-credit budget (a top striker can run up to 20 credits, most of the squad far less); every round your best valid XI is fielded automatically.

Head-to-Head

Face a different manager every round in a round-robin. Outscore your opponent for the win: the table is W/D/L.

Survivor

Lock an XI each round; every team that scores below the round's median goes out. Outlast everyone to win.

A starting eleven arranged on the pitch in a 4-4-2 formation, with live points and budget shown alongside it.
Below the pitch: your points total, credits left in the budget, and "Round locked" once the lineup can no longer change.
Step 7 of 9

Draft, or sign as you go

Everyone

A league fills its teams one of two ways, and the commissioner picks which when they create it.

Draft

Everyone meets in the league's draft room and takes turns picking from one shared pool, so no two teams can own the same player. The commissioner sets the order and the pick clock; if yours runs out, the best available player is picked for you. After the draft, squads change through waivers and trades.

Budget

Everyone signs whoever they want under the same credit budget, and the same player can appear in several squads. Add and drop from your team page whenever the round is open.

Step 8 of 9

Chips and bonus points

Everyone

Once-a-season power-ups your commissioner switches on. You may play one per round, and a chip you have played is gone for the rest of the season.

Wildcard
Every move you make that round is free, however many transfers it takes.
Free hit
The same free round, and your old squad comes back once the round is scored. One round rented, nothing lost.
Bench boost
Your substitutes score for you that round as well as your starters.
Triple captain
Your captain scores triple that round instead of double.

A chip is only offered where it has something to change: a league whose rules leave one nothing to do never offers it, and says why. Your commissioner can also design one chip of their own out of the same four effects.

Bonus points

After every soccer match the three best performances pick up 3, 2 and 1 extra points on top of what they already scored.

The ranking reads the whole stat line: goals and assists weigh most, then clean sheets, saves, key passes, tackles and minutes, with cards, own goals and missed penalties taken off. Leagues on positional scoring count bonus points from the start, and any commissioner can switch them on or off.

That's the whole game.

No gambling, just bragging rights.
