1. Our target
We want everyone to be able to play on Onze. Our target is level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 on every page of this website, including when you add it to your home screen.
2. What Onze does today
- Every page starts with a link that skips straight to the main content, and a focused control shows a visible outline when you move through a page with the keyboard.
- Text is never smaller than 12 pixels, and buttons and controls give you at least 44 by 44 pixels to tap, apart from the exceptions listed below.
- There is a light theme and a dark theme, and you can follow your device's setting. Text meets the AA contrast ratios in both, apart from the exception listed below.
- When your device asks for reduced motion, animations stop, apart from loading spinners.
- Onze is available in English and Brazilian Portuguese, and each page declares its language so a screen reader can pronounce it.
3. How we check
We check pages by hand: with the keyboard alone, at phone and desktop widths, and in both themes, measuring text size, tap-target size and colour contrast.
We do not yet run an automated accessibility checker, and Onze has not been reviewed by an outside accessibility auditor.
4. Known limitations
- Light text on green measures 3.8:1, under the 4.5:1 that level AA asks for, on buttons in the dark theme and on the selected menu item in both themes, because the menu stays dark.
- A link inside a sentence of text is only as tall as its line, so its tap area can be smaller than 44 by 44 pixels.
- On a head-to-head matchup page, points that change during a match are not announced to screen readers as they change. The team page announces your running total, and the match page announces the live score.
5. Tell us what gets in your way
If something on Onze is hard to use, tell us which page and what you were trying to do, through the Support page.
